Engagement Session at Hubert C. Schroeter Park
with Ann-Marie and John
by Austin wedding Photographer Evan & Marin Photography
We went back and forth the weeks before this session to come up with the perfect location. The University of Texas campus (where the two graduated) was a close second, but with the thought of a busy beginning-of-the-semester campus Ann-Marie and John decided on their neighborhood park. The same park they take their dog, MJ, on walks almost daily.
I thought it was a perfect idea. Not to mention the beautiful greenery, wildflowers, and sunset lighting. It only made the session more special when they decided to take their eleven year old dog MJ on the shoot with us. We joked about her excellent modeling skills as she turned right to my camera and almost smiled for many shots.
We enjoyed the reprieve in 100+ degree weather as we soaked up the golden light. While taking advantage of some of the older oak trees we began the shoot. After a few candid dancing shots under the old oak tree we started walking through the trails. Almost like any other Friday night for the couple. Almost, if you can look past the crazy lady following them around with a camera. We ended the shoot sitting in the grass with the sun setting behind and a cool breeze. I couldn’t have pictured it any better in my head.
